To me, there is nothing more delightful design-wise than marble. When it comes to designing or styling a space, I always like to include a touch of marble. I think it can entirely make a space; it adds quiet, timeless luxury and shows confidence in understanding materials.

“Because it combines elevated style with a relaxed vibe, I know this will look great in any living space.”

Marble is also a design neutral. Much like Lucite, it can blend seamlessly with wood, glass and metal. I often suggest incorporating pieces of marble furniture in a space when you already have a lot going on, for example if you already have a number of wooden pieces, or if you have some metallics that need to blend in better.

This year, marble began to have an intense renaissance but this time we are seeing real marble and marble-inspired prints used in an unexpected fashion; marble sunglasses, marble phone cases, marble coffee cups. The list goes on.

Mobilia is always on trend, and when it comes to marble I believe they are one of the style leaders. Mobilia has an eclectic selection of marble tables (from coffee to dining). I have a marble dining table and many marble accessories from Mobilia in my loft. For fall 2016, Mobilia has launched a larger collection of marble and marble print furniture and accessories. A few of my favorite pieces include the WARBLE marble-print beanbag chair. Because it combines elevated style with a relaxed vibe, I know this will look great in any living space.

My other favorite is the WARBLE marble-print rug. When I started planning my collection with Mobilia (which launches October 31, 2016), one of the key pieces I wanted to create was a marble rug. I loved that the team was on board. Over the months I witnessed the amount of work that goes into getting a rug design perfect. Samples were immediately sent into production. Do we add a border or leave it plain? How can we get the veins in the marble to look real? The dedication that the team at Mobilia had on this piece was unwavering. While we eventually took a slightly different direction and the rug is not part of my collection, I know the WARBLE marble-print rug will look amazing in any space and is guaranteed to be a hit.
