Marble comes in a variety of natural colours. The most classic, white marble, invariably adds a touch of splendour to any room, while black marble is supremely elegant.

Whatever the colour, the veining of the marble can sometimes be very pale and sometimes darker, sometimes jagged and sometimes more linear. It can thus produce either a soft look or add a bolder character. Marble makes each tabletop unique.

Get creative with marble: playing with shapes!

There is something poetic about marble when it takes a rounded form. Its beauty is accentuated by organic and geometric shapes. Examples include round tabletops, cylindrical marble blocks, and other simple shapes that that fit in perfectly with more contemporary décors.

Get creative with marble: playing with materials!

The hottest trend is decorating with terrazzo, a composite material composed of chips of coloured marble, glass and quartz. While it was once used exclusively in flooring, there are now terrazzo lamps and terrazzo tables, and you’ll even see terrazzo patterns in clothing, cushions and wall paper. Terrazzo is a widespread trend, both here and abroad.

It’s also popular to mix marble with contemporary materials. Happy matches for marble include antique brass and brushed bronze finishes, powder coated and gilded metal, as well as cognac coloured leather.

Marble is making a strong comeback in a variety of shapes and colours and also paired with other materials. Now it’s your turn to embrace the trend. From furniture to small decorative pieces, marble is sure to turn heads!
