We are so excited to finally share with you the fully completed family room that we designed in collaboration with Mobilia. We purchased from Mobilia in the past, so this was a dream collaboration for me.

The renovation project

I am so excited to be writing this blogpost, as we have been wanting to switch things up in our family room for 3 years. As you can see from the before pictures the room was very unfinished. We had a large couch, but we had no artwork, no additional seating, no coffee table and carpet. We initially had the television and television stand on the large wall but decided to mount the TV over the fireplace for more room. Hence, why the room looked so empty.

Before / after

A modern bohemian-inspired living room

The inspiration for the room was modern bohemian and to achieve my vision I enlisted my friend and interior designer, Brenda. Firstly, the carpet had to go! We opted to switch all the carpets and old flooring in the house for these beautiful Brazilian Oak floors. For more seating, we selected the coziest fabric accent chairs called NENLI, from Mobilia. These accent chairs are my favorite items in the room. They are so comfortable, and my daughter and I love lounging on them.

“My favorite product is the NENLI accent chair. It is a beautiful neutral color and one of the most comfortable chairs I ever sat in.”

Sincerely Jackline

To add more natural texture and warmth we opted for these beautiful Japandi Ratan accent chairs from Mobilia.

To tie the room together. We decided to get rid of the grey walls and do a neutral textured wallpaper. Lastly, we decided to add a beautiful textured rug to complete the room.

Hope you enjoyed the makeover and thank you to Mobilia for partnering with us to help complete the room.
