One of the most flattering metallic shades is rose gold. This soft, muted warm metallic has been growing in popularity in fashion over the past years with high-end brands like Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent featuring rose gold in everything from watches and purses to shoes and belts.

“Rose and copper accessories really are the jewelry of the home”

Rose gold has finally made it to décor and I couldn’t be more delighted. Mobilia is always on the forefront of trends and is the first showroom in Canada where I have seen rose gold featured. I recently spotted a fabulous chair and a number of light fixtures that I just love.

The best part about rose gold (and its close cousin copper) is that they really complement any décor and can work with any style of wood and other metallics. Rose and copper accessories really are the jewelry of the home. When decorating with these metallics, think of them as finishing accents. A pair of rose gold lamps in a bedroom instantly gives a space a luxe feel. A copper hanging light fixture (like the EDEN pendant lamp) will revive any dining space. The best part of this look is that, while currently trendy, rose gold and copper are actually timeless. No matter what colour you paint a room, these reflective metallics will work perfectly and always look very high-end and polished.

I encourage you to bring a touch of rose gold and/or copper into your home. I promise you will be delighted with the results.
